How Do I..Go directly to:Search the catalog You can search the library catalog from your own home, over the web. Go to the online catalog page to access it. You can search by author, title, or subject. If you are in the library, there is a computer that you can use to search the catalog. If you need assistance, please ask a librarian. topCheck my account You can check your account online by going to the online catalog. You will need your library card number. Choose the option for View Your Patron Record(login) and enter your card number at the prompt. You can view the items you have out, any blocks (fines, overdue books), any holds (books you have requested) and your contact information. If you have a question about your account, such as what books you have out or when they are due, and you don't have internet access, you can ask a librarian to check for you. The library phone number is (401) 364-6100 or you can ask in person the next time you are in the library. topPlace a hold You can request a book online while searching the catalog. Enter you library card number when it is requested and follow the prompts. You can also ask a librarian for assistance in placing a hold on a book. topRenew a book To renew a book online, you must access your account by going to the online catalog. You will need your library card number. Choose the option Items Currently Checked Out then follow the prompts. There is also a Help with Renewals tab if you need further instructions. You will not be able to renew a book online if you have overdue fines, someone else has placed a hold on the book, or the renewal limit has been reached. You can also ask a librarian to renew the book for you either in person or by phone, (401) 364-6100. top |
