Librarian/Storyteller - Cindy Havas

Story Hour at the Clark Memorial Library is a weekly program for children 3 - 5 years old. Its goal is to introduce young children to the library and to literature. It also provides them with an enjoyable group activity.

Toddler Time is 20 minute story time for two year olds.

1. The Story Hour program will be held in the Meeting Room of the library. Children are encouraged to attend Story Hour without a parent. Occasionally a child does not want to attend, and should not be forced to stay.  Toddler Time is  a lap-sit program (child sits with the accompanying adult).

2. Please bring children on time for Story Hour and Toddler Time! Latecomers distract the group.

3. Please leave toys, books and food at home. They usually draw attention away from the storyteller.

4. Once children enter the room, they should not leave until the program has ended. Please try to take your child to the restroom before the program begins!

5. Story Hour and Toddler Time will be cancelled if Richmond schools are closed or dismissed early due to inclement weather. Story Hour will not be held on holidays or during school vacation.

6. Your child will be encouraged to select books to bring home as part of the program.

We hope that your child will develop a lifelong love of reading and an eagerness to return to the library!
