Summer Reading Program 2008Catch the Reading Bug!
15 minutes a day is all it takes! We're gearing up for this year's summer reading program -- Catch the Reading Bug! We are thrilled to have two of our favorites join us again this year -- Animal Experiences with Dave Marchetti and Magician Chris Carbone. We will also have the storytellers "It Takes Two" telling terrific tales in tandem. Dates and times for the shows and events will be announced as the end of the school year approaches. Sign-up will be on-going beginning on Monday June 23rd. This program is designed to encourage children entering Grades 1-6 to read independently and log their reading time. Children are given reading rewards for each week completed and all those who complete all 6 weeks are entered in a raffle. Every week throughout the program the library hosts theme related shows, crafts and events. Weekly trips to the library will go a long way in helping your child maintain and/or increase their reading skills this summer. We look forward to seeing you!
We hope that your child will develop a lifelong love of reading and an eagerness to return to the library! - Clark Memorial Library Staff |
