Policies
Library Card
To obtain a library card you need a valid driver's license, a school ID or any mail or offical receipt which includes your name and current address.
You are responsible for the materials borrowed on your card. If your card is lost or stolen contact the library at (401) 364-6100.
- Your library card is valid at Clark Memorial Library and all other Ocean State Libraries.
- With your library card you can access the library catalog online.
- You can also borrow any items from other Ocean State Libraries.

Loan Limits
Certain materials have a limit on how many items you can borrow at one time.

Renewals
Materials can be renewed in person at the library, over the phone ((401) 364-6100), or through the online catalog. An item can not be renewed if someone else has a hold on it. Items can not be renewed more than two times and you will not be able to newed an item online if you have overdue fines.
Fines and Fees
While all of the library's programs and most of the services are free, charges are required for certain services, replacement of lost items, or fines for overdue materials.
