Vision Statment
The Clark Memorial Library will offer the residents of Richmond continually expanding access to electronic information resources in a measure consistent with the town’s growth, utilizing current technologies and high speed Internet access. The library will be both a physical place as well as an information portal, where residents will be able to access the library 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through its website and electronic resources. Library staff will be provided with continuous training and development opportunities so they may better serve the public.
Goals
- Goal 1. To upgrade or purchase hardware and software that supports the informational needs of our patrons.
- A. To do this we will continue to seek advice from OSL’s System and Network administrator and Technical Support Specialist.
- B. Attend OSL training workshops so as to remain informed on new technologies.
- Goal 2. To educate the community on the use of information technology.
- A. To do this we will offer instructions online and in-house.
Evaluation
The success of this plan will be based on our ability to meet the objectives. Patrons will be queried as to the success of their searches from our computer network.
Budget
Money for this plan will come from state grant-in-aid money and grants.
