Upcoming Events

Until April 28th - We're accepting donations for our Spring Book and Bake Sale! We'll also be looking for baker sign ups in the coming weeks.

During normal operating hours April 28th, 29th, and 30th - We're looking for volunteers to carry heavy boxes from the shed to the meeting room. We're also looking for volunteers to organize the donated books in their correct categories.
Moving books will be on Monday and Tuesday while sorting will be on Wednesday due to scheduling conflicts.

Fridays at 10:30am - Spring Story Hour is up and running! Friday mornings at 10:30am, come listen to stories, sing, and create a craft. Suitable for ages 18 months to 5 years.

April 22nd from 6:30pm to 8:00pm - Join us to learn the art of quilling with Georgia P. Zarafonitis. We’ll be making cards, a perfect craft to gift to a loved one.

April 24th from 1:00pm to 7:00pm - Please bring in any donations you may have for the swap.
April 25th from 10:00am to 5:00pm - The craft swap will run during our normal hours of operation in the meeting room. See something you like? Trade it out for something you don't!
April 26th from 10:00am to 2:00pm - The craft swap will run during our normal hours of operation in the meeting room. Trade it out for something you don't!

April 29th at 6:00pm - This craft event is full.

May 1st from 3:00pm to 7:00pm - The sale will be running in our meeting room. We will have books of all genres, for all ages. Pick the books you like and then make a donation to the library! We thank you for your support! :)

May 8th at 6:30pm - Join us for a planting craft using Japanese gardening techniques. Sign up IS required. This craft is suitable for ages 14 and older.

May 13th at 7:00pm - Join us to talk about The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters. We hope to see you then!

May 14th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm - Interested in learning more about our State’s history? Stop by to see a tabletop exhibit showcasing documents, photographs, and reports about wild weather events that have impacted our small state. From hurricanes to wildfires, see these records that help tell the story of our state.

May 16th at 7:00pm - Join us for a showing of Paddington in Peru in our meeting room! Bring a cozy blanket and covered drink to enjoy the show, popcorn will be provided.

May 20th at 7:00pm - Author and historian Marty Podskoch will give a presentation on the 92nd Anniversary of the Civilian Conservation Corps Camps and its work in RI. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) began on March 31, 1933 under President Roosevelt’s “New Deal” to relieve the poverty and unemployment of the Depression. Seven CCC camps were erected in Rhode Island.

May 22nd at 6:30pm - Kelly J. Sullivan will discuss her new book, The Pest Collection. This historical fiction novel brings to light the harsh
conditions of “Lunatic Asylums” and the camaraderie that gets built between inmates. In addition to the book talk, the event will include a conversation about how our mental health system needs an overhaul. Copies of her book will be available for purchase at the event.

May 24th at 12:30pm - The Richmond Historical Society will be having its annual meeting. This meeting is open to the public.

Closed May 26th - We will be closed today, in observance of Memorial Day.
Weekly Events
Our Fiber Arts group is meeting on Tuesdays at 2 PM. Bring a project to work on. Beginners Welcome!
