Clark Memorial Library is open for browsing and curbside pick up!

 Covid 19 Updates

In accordance with the Rhode Island Department of Health and the Governor’s orders regarding public safety during this pandemic, we are pleased to continue to offer curbside pickup of library materials as well as browsing inside the library. Guidelines for each of these services are provided below. We are excited for the opportunity to get library materials out to our community while we practice and encourage safe procedures. All patrons are required to wear a face mask inside and stay at least 3 feet away from anyone else. Masks must be properly worn covering both nose and mouth when in the library.  No one will be allowed inside the library if they, or anyone in their family are sick.

  • Borrowers who would prefer contactless curbside pickup must call during hours the library is open to request items and make an appointment for pick up.    Items will placed on a table on the porch outside the library. Unvaccinated patrons should wear masks and engage in social distancing while picking up materials.

  • All library materials should be returned in our book drop even if you are planning on going into the building.

  • In library browsing will be allowed. Please follow social distancing.

  • Newspapers will be back on July 1st.

  • Only 2 computers will be available with a 30-minute time limit..  After each use of the computer the library staff will disinfect the computer before another patron is permitted to use it. We now have enhanced WI-FI capabilities in the parking lot.

Thank you for your understanding and patronage as we continue with changes in the guidelines per, the Rhode Island Department of Health, the Governor and CDC policy. Please stay up to date for any changes to this procedure via our website, Facebook, and Instagram. Finally, stay well!
