Summer Reading Program 2022

 

The Summer Reading Program, sponsored by the Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services (OLIS), is a cooperative effort among libraries in Rhode Island to motivate children and teens to read for pleasure and to help them maintain their reading skills during the summer months.

Clark Memorial Library Summer Reading Program Sign-ups: June 20th to 25th 2022

Programs runs from June 27th to August 6th 2022

This is a great time to get reading from the RI Book Awards Lists!

Kids Program

For kids in grades K-6.  Read 15 minutes a day and come in each week with you reading log for cool prizes and special library events.

Teen Program

For youth in 7th grade and up.  Teens and Tweens read over the summer and may complete activities at the library for scratch off cards to win prizes or enter for our grand prize drawing at the Ice Cream Party.

Get a card by:

  • Signing up for Summer Reading

  • Checking out 3 or more items

  • Submitting a Book Review

  • Attending an SRP Event

  • Signing up for a library card

Students entering 5th-8th grades in the Chariho School District can use this program to help complete their summer reading book reports.

Students Entering Chariho High School may also use the Summer Reading Program to help complete their Summer Reading Studies.
